US President Donald Trump was seemingly on the fence about getting involved in the Iran-Israel conflict – and then he suddenly took a gamble and carried out strikes against three of Iran’s nuclear facilities.

His involvement and his pressure to ensure a ceasefire have been unpredictable and unprecedented.
